Recipe for fun
Me + $3 T-shirt + embroidered iron-on letters + iron =

I don’t know if I’ll ever wear it outside of my apartment or my friends’ apartment, since it’s like wearing something that says “LOOK AT ME! I’M AN ATTENTION WHORE!” It was still fun to decorate the shirt, though.
P.S. I’ve wanted to make a manic depression-themed T-shirt ever since I read Jinnah’s Manic Depression: Been There! Done That! Got a T-shirt! post, but it took me over seven years to finally get around to it.

LOL! Be careful where you wear that….nah on 2nd thought, come with us all somewhere with our “unmedicated bipolar” t-shirts (I bet we’ll get the best seats in the house right now)

I made a depressing Tshirt about Action T4 and the 200,000 patients helped by psychiatry, but I never wore it in public. I do wear the Tshirt (hidden)under a regular shirt whenever I visit my Pdoc.

That is some pretty sweet craft action! You know, I bet if you created a similar design and posted it at cafepress.com or etsy.com you’d make a pretty decent profit. As it turns out, there are more of us than we think!

*ive tried to convince my pdoc to invite me to a pharma rep lunch he admits to going to*
I told him if pharma was *really* smart–they would give us all stuff like this–and advertise for them. BUT I would want to be *paid* for it. its a way to get our co-pays back.
“Lamictal rocks” t shirts; bumperstickers, you know…a *consumer education package*. Im still working on finding a lamictal rep in the halls.

Back when I was unmedicated, I thought it would be fun to have an “UNMEDICATED BIPOLAR” T-shirt. I’m not unmedicated now, though, and “BIPOLAR ON FEWER MEDS AT LOWER DOSAGES THAN THE PSYCHIATRIC ESTABLISHMENT TOLD ME WAS POSSIBLE, BUT DOING FINE, THANK YOU VERY MUCH” is rather long for a T-shirt slogan.
Stephany, I actually have a few pharmaceutical promotional pens. I did secretarial work for a psychiatrist one summer. I didn’t vindictively steal her pens; she let me have them. I’ll take a picture someday. Not for drug promotion purposes, just for entertainment purposes.
